The International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP), which is affiliated to the Ministry of Water Resources of P. R. China, serves as the headquarters and secretariat of INSHP.

ICSHP has set up three sub-centers in India, Nigeria, and Colombia, and shares joint offices with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). It undertakes the work of the secretariat of the ISO/TC339 (small hydropower plants) and its mirror committee in China. It is also one of the 21 members of the United Nations Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN) in China. 

“The Center (ICSHP) and its partners are good examples of South-South Cooperation. I have seen all of this, how much you are cooperating with other developing countries. This is in line with what President Xi Jinping has declared South-South Cooperation.”
