The International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP) is a public and non-profit institution that aims to develop SHP worldwide under the auspices of UNIDO, UNDP, China's Ministry of Water Resources (MWR), and the Ministry of Commerce. It is also the headquarters of the International Network on Small Hydro Power (INSHP), both of which were established in December 1994.

In May 2022, ISO/TMB approved the proposal to establish ISO/TC339 (Small Hydropower Plants) with the Secretariat in China (ICSHP).
