On the morning of May 22, 2024, at the opening ceremony of the 10th Hydropower for Today Forum, Mr. Xing Yuanyuan, Chairman of the 7th Coordination Committee of the International Network on Small Hydro Power, and Deputy Director of the Department of Rural Water and Hydropower of the Ministry of Water Resources, released the “Case Study of International Cooperation in Hydropower (2024)”. A compilation was simultaneously distributed to the representatives attending the forum. This is the second collection and evaluation activity meticulously organized by the International Network on Small Hydro Power since the first batch of “Case Study of International Cooperation in Hydropower” was released in 2021. It received positive responses and strong support from many excellent domestic hydropower enterprises, with 12 cases selected.

The selected cases are rich in content, covering 10 countries such as Laos, Zambia and Ecuador, involving hydropower project investigation and design, construction implementation, equipment installation, upgrading and operation monitoring. These cases not only reflect the international influence of China’s hydropower technology, but also highlight China’s positive contribution in promoting global energy transition and green development.
