INSHP signs Cooperation Memorandum with Panama’s INNOBUC in Hangzhou

On June 22, the International Network on Small Hydro Power (INSHP) and the Innovation and Business Culture Organization (INNOBUC) successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Hangzhou, marking a pivotal advancement in the development of small hydropower and renewable energy technologies. Dr. Xu Jincai, Director General of INSHP, and Mr. Eric Adames, Founder and Chairman of INNOBUC, participated in discussions and signed the MOU.

INNOBUC, a non-profit organization officially established in Panama in 2019 with a regional presence throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, is dedicated to fostering innovation, supporting sustainable business practices, and facilitating development projects through strategic partnerships with governments, universities, private sector entities, and international organizations.

Building on the MOU, the two parties will collaborate across multiple domains to jointly advance the preparatory work for the Central America and Caribbean Sub-Center. Through joint research, project demonstrations, and capacity building, they will promote sustainable energy development, bolstering energy security, climate resilience, and economic growth throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
